Tiling, March Tilers prove very tricky to get hold and all insist on fibre cement board over the plywood. Pierre and Peter pickup, deliver and install the fibre cement. Finally, about the middle of March, Rob (a friend of Chris Raymond's) agrees to help out. Suz plays assistant and the waterproofing takes two short days.
The following week, the tiling begins in earnest.

On Monday the 9th of April, Peter turns up to help install the gutter.
The original gutters we used for the watertank, Smartflo, are no longer made, but the new one we bought to seems to look ok. A light rain demonstrates that it all works and water pours out of the right hole. After a bit of design work, then the ordering of the windows over two years ago, now, the view from outside;
Almost there, but the window sill on the inside, made out of the old window sill, is not installed until November. |
